Strength training or resistance training is any type of exercise that challenges your muscles’ ability to produce force.
On the surface they may seem basic, but keep in mind, it’s never what you do, but how it’s done that matters.
So, all things aside, if you’re just starting out, this might be exactly what you need, especially if the exercises are chosen carefully.
An Upper Body Workout For Beginners That’s Super Easy To Follow
The only caveat with body weight training is that the strength that can be produced with any exercise is limited to your own body weight.
But there is a fine line and you have to be careful how you overload your muscles.
For example, if you only perform sets of higher and higher repetitions, let’s say you go for sets of 20, 30, 40, 0r 50 of 10 reps of air squats.
Therefore, for this reason bodyweight exercises are great for beginners but they are less long-lasting compared to other forms of strength training.
Beginner Fat Loss Workouts That You Can Do At Home Easily!
Initially, it’s best to start with full-body workouts before you progress to split-body workouts because full-body workouts help build your foundation and provide the following benefits:
Increase in exercise frequency: With a full body workout you attack your major muscle groups 3 times a week, which means more potential muscle growth.
Increased calorie expenditure: This happens during and after exercise because you are taxing every major muscle group with each training session. This does three things,
Increases Super Compensation: Full body training (when done right) is best designed to quickly deplete your muscle stores leading to super compensation.

Supercompensation is a type of protein breakdown, microtrauma, and glycogen depletion that puts your body in a state of anabolism and increases the need for nutrients.
If you time it right, your post-workout nutrients will go to the muscles that need it most and not accumulate in fat.
Increases hormonal stimulation: Working your muscles to a greater degree in one session will increase anabolic hormones, this increase is short-lived, and is often best treated with post-workout supplements.
Now that you’ve heard all the glory that a total body workout can provide, let’s talk about two common pitfalls (well, the ones we hear about the most).
Fast Weight Loss
One of the downsides of full-body workouts is that you may feel like you’re not focusing on a particular body part.
Another disadvantage is that full-body exercise may be required and may leave you more tired and more sore than usual (but this soreness goes away quickly after the first week).
In the next section, I’ll break down the exercises you’ll use in a 4-week workout plan to lose weight at home.

A push-up exercise is any exercise when the positive (concentrated) part of the movement involves moving weight away from your body or moving your body away from a stationary object such as the floor.
With push-ups, it’s best to start from the ground. In the beginning, you may need to start on your knees, and that’s okay.
During your 4-week workout for weight loss, you’ll be targeting your lower body with this traditional exercise, while adding more cadence to the movement to increase intensity.
Okay, once you’ve locked in your schedule, the next step is to figure out if the gym environment looks good for you, if not, set up a proper workout space at home and start your 4 week workout for weight loss. Start planning.

You’ve probably heard the words “bulking” and “cutting” thrown around in the fitness world, but what exactly is “cutting”?
Cutting is the process of losing body fat while trying to maintain muscle mass. It is a form of nutrition where the focus is solely on losing fat, ensuring that muscle mass is preserved for a lean, toned appearance.
There are different types of cuts people make; For example, bodybuilders who are planning to compete in a show usually make extreme cuts, while someone who just wants to lose a few pounds doesn’t have to be so drastic.

A cut will usually last 8-16 weeks depending on the overall goal and the individual. I usually set my clients to 12 weeks, as this allows for a slower cut that is more realistic and reduces strength loss.
It’s important to remember that regardless of anything else, food is fuel and should still be consumed, regardless of whether you’re in the kit or not. While you need to cut calories to lose weight successfully, it doesn’t need to be extreme or in a way that you fuel your body.
It is important to exercise while cutting so that you can maintain as much strength and muscle mass as possible. Focusing on weight lifting instead of cardio will help prevent muscle loss during your cut and can also help build muscle mass!
Eating enough protein will also help preserve and build muscle mass during a cut, as it provides your muscles with the necessary building blocks to repair and rebuild themselves. Aim to consume at least one gram of protein per pound of body weight.
